QBEN- CANCELLATION POLICY

1. Introduction

This Cancellation Policy outlines the terms under which orders placed on the Qben platform may be cancelled.

This policy applies to all services offered through:

  • Qben Customer Application

  • Qben Restaurant Application

  • Qben Delivery Partner Application

By placing an order on Qben, you agree to the terms mentioned in this Policy.


2. Platform Model

Qben operates as a technology platform that connects customers with vendors (restaurants, cloud kitchens, home kitchens, tiffin providers) and delivery partners.

Orders placed on Qben are processed directly by vendors, and in many cases, delivery is handled by the vendor themselves under the “Own Food, Own Delivery” model.

Due to this decentralized structure, cancellation is subject to operational feasibility.


3. Order Cancellation by Customer

3.1 Before Order Acceptance

  • Customers may cancel an order without any charges before the vendor accepts it

  • Full refund will be initiated in such cases


3.2 After Order Acceptance

  • Once the vendor accepts the order, cancellation requests may not be guaranteed

  • Cancellation, if allowed, depends on:

    • Order preparation status

    • Vendor approval

    • Time elapsed since order placement


3.3 After Preparation or Dispatch

  • Orders cannot be cancelled once:

    • Food preparation has started

    • Order has been packed or dispatched

This is because the vendor has already incurred costs for the order.


4. Automatic Cancellation

Qben reserves the right to automatically cancel orders in the following situations:

  • Vendor is unable to accept the order

  • Item is out of stock

  • Technical or system errors

  • Delivery is not serviceable in the given location

In such cases, a full refund will be issued.


5. Cancellation by Vendor

Vendors may cancel orders under limited conditions such as:

  • Unavailability of items

  • Operational issues

  • Unexpected workload or technical failure

In such cases, customers will be notified and refunded.


6. Cancellation by Qben

Qben may cancel orders in rare cases for:

  • Suspected fraudulent activity

  • Violation of platform policies

  • Payment failures

  • Safety or operational concerns

Appropriate actions, including refunds, will be taken accordingly.


7. Delivery-Related Cancellation

Orders may be cancelled if:

  • Customer is unreachable at delivery location

  • Incorrect or incomplete address is provided

  • Customer refuses to accept the order

In such cases:

 Refund may not be provided
 Cancellation charges may apply (if applicable)


8. No-Show or Repeated Cancellation

Qben reserves the right to:

  • Restrict or suspend accounts

  • Limit ordering privileges

for users who repeatedly:

  • Cancel orders after confirmation

  • Provide incorrect details

  • Misuse the cancellation system


9. Special Cases

In certain genuine situations (e.g., emergencies), Qben may:

  • Review cancellation requests manually

  • Offer partial or full resolution at its discretion


10. Impact on Refunds

All refunds related to cancellations will be processed in accordance with the Refund Policy.


11. Policy Updates

Qben reserves the right to modify this Cancellation Policy at any time. Updates will be reflected on the platform.

Continued use of the platform indicates acceptance of updated terms.
